15 Months!
In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve slowed down on the yellow chair pictures. We figure he won’t change as fast in his second year. Here is Thomas at 15 months old… we think he grew 2 inches over Thanksgiving!
Adventures of eating and sleeping
In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve slowed down on the yellow chair pictures. We figure he won’t change as fast in his second year. Here is Thomas at 15 months old… we think he grew 2 inches over Thanksgiving!
We had a great week in Pittsburgh. Thomas slept for 6 of the 9 driving hours both ways, which was wonderful. Then we stayed in a guest room at Great-Grandma’s place. The guest room was a very nice place to rest from all the excitement.
This Halloween, Daddy took a little lion for a walk. We picked out a nice warm lion costume, but it turned out to be 72 degrees outside. When is it 72 degrees on Halloween? Especially when we’ve already had our first snow fall this year. Thomas the Lion had fun playing with the leaves in the yard. Mommy thinks he is a very cute and snuggly lion.
Around here you can’t drive more than a couple miles without passing an apple orchard. So, every kid gets to have fall pictures picking apples. We also spent a few minutes in the pumpkin patch, while we were at it. This is called “Fall Family Fun”.
Here is my 12 month yellow chair picture. Yes, I know this is my first yellow chair picture in my pajamas. Oh, and I had a 12 month checkup and the verdict is that I am a healthy, happy boy! Here are some stats:
28 pounds, 8 ounces *
33 inches long
clothes: 24 month, 2T and even a few 3T’s (80-90 euro sizes)
shoes: 6.5 wide! (5.5 H uk sizes)
* Momma says “Ha Ha” to Grandpa Jim and Daddy who both thought I would be over 30 pounds by now. I’ve grown more than 3 inches in the last 3 months, but I’ve only gained a pound. That’s because I’m crawling and taking steps all over the place so I’m burning lots of energy now.
We took a 10 hour (12 hour) road trip to Virginia to visit Aunt Linda and Uncle Lee for the first time and to celebrate my first birthday. It was a long ride but we made it and had a great time! 🙂
We finally have a few pictures from the family picnic when we were in Oregon. We are at Uncle Greg and Aunt Connie’s lovely house. We got to meet cousin Teagan for the first time. She is a sweetheart. Thomas had fun splashing in the big pool with Daddy. We all had a very fun time.
Wow… where did this past year go? He is getting to be such a big boy. Will he be over or under 30 pounds by his 12 month checkup (2 weeks after the birthday)? He is crawling up a storm, cruising the furniture and practicing balancing on two feet. We think walking is just around the corner!
Next month we will be celebrating his very first birthday with Uncle Lee and Aunt Linda in Virginia. We are so excited for this visit and to share his big day with them.
July was Grandparent month. This time, Grandpa Nick and Grandma Eileen came for a visit. We had fun going on walks and eating stonyfield yogurt. Thomas took Grandma Eileen to his music class and he even tried the swing at the park again. He’s still not too sure about that swing, but I bet he will love it someday!
We went to visit Auntie Fran and Uncle Alan and it was so good to see them. We miss them a whole bunch. Thomas loved Uncle Alan’s sourdough cinnamon rolls. His second sourdough experience in one week! It is safe to say he is a sourdough fan.
This was the second trip to Oregon for Thomas. He is becoming quite a traveler. Here are a few pictures at Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Jim’s House. We will post some from the Kreutzer-Heinze family picnic soon.
We went to Drumlin Farm to play with Gillian and her mom and dad, Amy and Jeff. We had fun looking and ponies, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens. We went on a hay ride! The weather was perfect for our fabulous picnic and we finished the day playing in the grass in the parking lot. That might have been the highlight for the kiddos. It’s nice to know it only takes a few rocks and some weeds to entertain them!
Amy shared some of her pics with us, so here’s a couple more… Thanks, Amy!
I love the smile on this cutie pie!
There is a very interesting basketball and soccer ball on the porch that must be explored.
